Welcome to the 9th annual St. Victor Outdoor Grass Volleyball Tournament.  This year we have eight teams in the 5th grade division and 14 teams in the 6th grade division.  We have 12 teams in the 7th grade division and 16 teams in the 8th grade division.

All teams will receive lunch tickets for up to 12 players and 2 coaches upon completion of registration.  Extra lunch tickets will cost $3.50 a piece.  Lunch will begin to be served at 10:00 AM.  We ask that teams redeem tickets at concession stand as a team.  There is a special line to receive team lunches.  There are no substitutions for lunch tickets.

Just a reminder that there are no canopies, tents, extra large umbrellas, animals, skates, bicycles, scooters, in-line skates, or motor homes, barbeques allowed on school premises.  It is up to the coaches of each team to make sure that none of the above items are being used.

Please keep all players and spectators away from the nets.  If you have a problem with your net, contact your court manager.  If a net falls or loosens, let the St. Victor tournament staff fix the problem.  All nets have been measured to the best of our ability, and may not be perfect.

Please be courtesy, and respectful to all officials.  St. Victor Athletic Director will solve all disputes.  Sportsmanship and fun are the # 1 priorities of our tournament.  Any player, coach, or spectator who harasses officials over the calls of the game, may be asked to leave the school premises.

Bathrooms are located inside the school quad area.  There are signs posted.  The Hall is off-limits to all players, coaches, and spectators, unless it rains.

The court ropes do move when the ball hits them, it is up to the coaches and players to make sure that they are back to the correct position at the start of play.

Officials will be provided as follows:

5th/6th/7th/8th grade divisions – an up referee and a down referee,

Score keeper – The down referee may be your official score keeper

5th Grade Division only – Players will be allowed to take one step over serving line during serve.  When server contacts the ball she must have one foot or both feet behind the serving line.  If serving overhand – both feet must stay behind serving line.

When captains meet prior to the start of the game, players will rock paper scissors best 2 of 3 to determine serve or receive.  The 3rd game is for serve, receive or side.  For the first game, the side you start on will be determined by the side your team is on score sheet.
